Shirley Ann smith, daughter of the late Carter and Harrie Bolden, was born on March 31, 1937. She was the youngest of three children. On November 9, 2009 she departed this life after a lenghty illness. She received her education in Baltimore City Public Schools. In 1970, she gave birth to her first born by the late Earl Spence. In 1975, She married Rudolph Smith, and from that union two children were born. She was employed at Elkridge Laundry before she became a bartender. she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. To know her was tyo love her. She leaves with warm, precious memories, daughter, Tanya Spence; two sons, Rudolph Smith and Jermaine Smith; daughter-in-law, Chenelle Smith; six stepchildren, Jerald, Janice, Randolph, Christine, Rose and Muriel Smith; sister, Nola May Bolden; brother Rudolph; sister-in-law, Iantha Bolden; eight grandchildren, Keairia and Kamren Spence, Rudolph Jr., Jasmine, Kayla, Tayla and Destine' Smith; loving niece and nephew, Rosmary Keene, and Rev. Rasheed Ray; six nieces, Thereesa, Ira-Marie, Sheila, Vanessa, Priscilla and Jessica; three nephews, Clifton, Michael and Jeffrey, seven great-nieces and nephews; devoted friend, Mildred Hammond; and a host of other relatives and friends.
