Shirley ann Walker, was born on November 30, 1945 in Maxton, North Carolina to the late Morris Jones and the late Jessie Patterson. She dwparted her life on December 12, 2008, after a lenghty illness. Shirley also known as "Momma" received her education at Maxton High School in North Carolina. She later married James Elton Walker, nd from this union five children were born, Marcellius a.k.a. Pumpkin, Patsy, Steven, Anthony and Jermaine. She worked for St. Agnes Hospital until she couldn't do so anymore due to her failing health. Shirley was a member of Jones Tabernalce Baptist Church. She was the ring of anyone who entered her circle. She touched you with a sense welcoming love. And to know her was to love her in return. Preceding her in death is her husband, James Elton Walker, and daughter Marcellus Ann Walker-James. She leaves to cherish her memories: two brothers, Joseph and Jimmie Patterson; two sisters, Mammie Ruth Graham husband John, and Sharon "Libby" Patterson; one daughter, Patsy Walker; three sons, Steven, Anthony, and Jermaine; oneson-in-law, Paul James; twenty-three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
