IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Shirley M.
Bazemore
February 16, 1962 – November 24, 2017
Shirley Modena Bazemore
,
loving known as Shair and Shell,
was born to the late Thomas McKinley Bazemore and
Claudia Modener Bazemore in Baltimore, Maryland on
February 16, 1962. She suddenly departed this life on
November 24,2017.
She received her schooling in the Baltimore City Public School System.
Shirley had a great love for the medical field and she enjoyed taking
care of others. There were many occasions you could tell her your
symptoms and she had medicines in her medicine cabinet to treat
you. Once her brother Eric was in a terrible car accident, she went
to the hospital, did her own examination, and told the doctors
"My brother is bleeding internally and needs to be prepped
for surgery". From that day on, she earned her "doctor rights".
She worked in numerous nursing facilities with Dr. Qureshi and
at the Sunrise Nursing Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Shirley was saved at a very young age at Bethel Church of God in Christ
under the leadership of the late Elder James F. Parker. She had a
great love for the Lord and she later joined Central Baptist Church
where she was 11 faithful member until her passing.
Shair had a passionate love for her family and there wasn't
anything she would not do for them. Shirley's greatest pride
and joy were her children and grandchildren.
Shell was preceded in death by her parents, Claudia and
Thomas Bazemore, whom all endearingly referred to as
Ma and Daddy.
Shirley leaves to mourn her and carry her legacy of love, her son, Koreem Sr.
whom she fondly called ReB (Zakiya); her daughter Keturah who's
affectionately known as Dauh; thirteen siblings, Thomas, David Sr., Myra,
Donna, Jacqueline, Deborah (Johnnie), Stephanie, Eric, Mario Sr., Shenita,
Benita (Curtis) of Denver, Colorado, and Sharina; five grandchildren, Koreem
Jr., Zariya, Kaylah, Kamryn, and Kwali; and a host of many aunts, uncles,
nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who knew and loved her.
