Shirley Connor was born in Baltimore, Maryland on June 18, 1936 to Arthur Rivers, Sr. and Jeannette rivers. Shirley received her education in the Baltimore city Public School System. Shirley grew up in a very close knit and happy family where she received spiritual and practical guidance from her loving parents. After a short battle with sickness she lost the battle on September 29, 2012. Shirley loved her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also dearly loved her sisters and her brothers. Shirley loved watching Wheel of Fortune, she loved cooking, eating, reading, listening to music and spending time with her family. Shirley became one of Jehovah;s Witnesses on July 17, 1970. She was a faithful servant of Jehovah until her death. She loved and enjoyed talking to other people about her God. She leaves to mourn her husband Roland, 3 sons Terry White, Sr., Gary White and Keith Rivers, Sr., 3 daughters, Phyllis Dixon, Denise Simmons, and Jacqueline Clark, 1 sister Ida Wright and 1 brother Arthur Rivers, 1 sister-in-law, Glades Rivers, 1 daughter-in-law Vivian White, 2 sons-in-law, Charles Dixon and Danny Simmons, 16 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. there are a host of other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
