IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Shirley J.
Douglas
November 30, 1949 – March 8, 2020
Shlrley Jean Douglas, the beloved daughter ofthe late Johnnie andShirley Sinclair was born on November 30, 1949 In Baltimore, Maryland.Shirley departedthis life Sunday March 8, 2020.
She received her education at Carver Vocational-Technical High school, taking up a trade inBusiness Management. Shirley obtained many
jobs, with her most recent being a store clerk at Samuelson BostonLoan, for 27+ years. Shirley, mother to Endolyn and Avon Johnsonwas more fondly known as Jean to family and friends. She was amature and divine soul, bringing light to any room she'd step in.She spoke with so much wisdom. When you were around Jean, you were sure to hear many stories. Effortlessly, she was a real diva, with a real fiery spirit. She was a giver, if she had it, you had it. Jean cherished herloved ones and the relationships she shared with them. She loved her family, friends, andespeciallyfamily gatherings.
Jean enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, Tavon, Tevelle, Tanaisha (Nay Nay), and Tesean (Duty). She
couldn't forget about her great grands, Ladaisha (Daishaboo), Devin (Lil D) and her angel, Lyric.
Jean and her husband Mack were like fire and ice, even though fire melts the ice, ice calms the fire. You wouldn't
see Shirley without Mack. Mack was known for getting sharp, you would never see him in anything that didn't
match. Jean of course, always had to step out Jazzy with her husband.
Avon and Endylon, children of Shirley, shared a very special and close bond with their mother. They made sure to
make it known that they were spoiled, not only with physical aspects, but especially with love. Though there
comes a time when children have to grow up, it was evident that with Jean, they would remain her babies forever.
Jean was like the "neighborhood mother" everyone referred to her as "Ma". All were welcomed into her home. She
loved to love others. It was as though mothering was instilled into her blood.
Shirley was saved and accepted Christ Jesus as herpersonal saviorearly in life. She later became a member at
Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
Jean was preceded in death by her mother and father, Shirley and Johnnie Sinclair, and three brothers,Johnfrank, James, and Ray.
Shirley leaves to cherish her most precious memories to her husband, Mack Douglas; daughter Endylon Johnson;
son, Avon Johnson; stepsister, Portia; grandchildren, Tavon, Tevelle, Tanaisha, and Tesean; great grands, Daisha,
Devin, and Lyric; niece, Darlene; special nieces, Regina, Bernidette, and a host of family and friends whom she
loved.
