Shirley Elizabeth Johnson, was the sixth child born to the late Edward Lee and Ollie Mae Johnson on august 18, 1952 in Baltimore, Md. She departed this life on July 4, 2012. Shirley received her education in the Baltimore ""City Public School System and was a graduated of the prestigious Western High School for girls. She also attended Layola State and Sojourner Douglas College. Shirley was a joyful person filled with love and laughter. She was known for her big smile and making everyone laugh and feel special. She was just fun to be around. Photography was her favorite hobby. She loved to take pictures of her family and friends. Although she didn't have any children of her own she was great with them and loved to be surrounded by them. Shirley worked with at risk youth at Montrose School and also with children at the Department of Recreation for Baltimore City. Shirley loved to be with her family at all occasions. She will sincerely missed by all who knew and loved her. She leaves to mourn; two sisters, Delores Burgess and Doris Johnson; one brother, Herman Johnson; three nephews, Samuel and David Burgess and Matthew Johnson; three nieces, Karen, Teresa and Nicole McFadden; one niece-in-law, Lynne Burgess; four great nieces, Kyairra and Brittney Rooks, Ciara Burgess and Laila Poe; five great nephews, Del'vaughn and Lance Rooks, David Burgess Jr., and Nigel and Julen Poe and a host of other relatives and friends.
