Goldsborough
March 15, 1939 – August 27, 2018
Shirley Joyce Goldsborough, was the oldest of two, born to the
late Milton Taylor and Eleanor Hill onMarch 15,1939 in Baltimore,
Maryland. She departed this life onAugust 27, 2018. She was
preceded indeath by her sister janice Harvey.
Shirley received her education in the Baltimore PublicSchool
Systems. She worked in the medical
profession andwas employed at Perry Point VA Medical Center
until her retirement. She later found enjoyment caring for
individuals with special needs at~ed Cerebral Palsy.
Shirley enjoyed eating, playiag her numbers, and talking on the
phone. As frequently as possible, Shirley would visit her mother's
house to partake in family di ers; those home-cooked meals
would bring her great joy. Shi ley loved movies, bus trips, online
shopping, and trips to the casino. In recent years, Shirley loved to
attend and was an active member-of Fulton Baptist Church under
the leadership of Reverend julian Rivera.
Shirley was a provider and caregiverto everyone she encountered
and loved her grandchildren "Grandma Shirley" as she was
affectionately known, was not only the mother, caregiver, and
providerto her biological children and grandchildren, but to their
friends as well.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory, her loving mother
Eleanor Hill; 6 Children: Gerald Eldridge, jeffrey Goldsborough,
Mark Goldsborough, janice ''Pixie''Goldsborough, Keith
Sterre tte, and Cheryl "Shelly" Sterrette; 2 Daughter-in-laws: Bonnie
and Tiffany; 15. Grandchildren: Dustin, Leon (who proceeded her
in death), Veronica, Tyrone, Tiffany, Terrance (who proceeded her
in death), Steven, Erika, LaTonya, Bernard, Michael, Brionna,
RoShawnda, Sherrill, and Shaun; 32 Great Grandchildren, a host of
cousins, and many loving relatives and friends. Through the years
Shirley created many friendships, holding her best girlfriends
Becky, Elaine, and Ann close to her heart.
