On December 10, 2015 Shirley Jean Patterson, passed away peacefully
at home to be with her Heavenly Father. She was born June 12, 1946
to Julie Marie Wilson and Albert Ray Outlaw Sr., in Greenville, North
Carolina. At the age of 8 she relocated to Baltimore, Maryland to be
raised by Albert and Nellie Outlaw.

On August 7, 1966, she married Jerome Bernard Patterson. They
were marriedfor 49 years.

After graduating Towson University she began her professional
teaching career. She earned her masters in Early Childhood Education
Shirley taught for seventeen years until her illness forced her to
retire. She loved children. She did any and everything you can imagine
to guide them in the right direction. Shirley was a tireless worker, not
only for children but adults as well. She always had a kind word, open
arms and listening ear for everyone. She will truly be missed and
cannot be replaced.

Shirley was preceded in death by her mother, Julie Marie Wilson;
father and stepmother, Albert and Nellie Outlaw; brother, Jesse Wilson
of NC; son, Jerome Jr. and daughter, Cheryl Patterson.

She leaves to mourn: her loving husband, Jerome B. Patterson Sr.;
daughters, Karen, Darlene, Chris, Jessica, Brittany and Kenae; sons,
Davon, Jerome III and Raheem. She leaves her sisters, Carletta,
Deborah Ann, Rose, Peggy and Diane; brothers, Tommy of NC, Albert
JR., and Daryl; and a host of in-laws, grands, great grands,family and
