Shirley Louise Rouse departed this early life at Sinai Hospital after a lengthy illness on February 4, 2013. Shirley was born in Baltimore, Maryland on July 25, 1956. Daughter of William Bill and Johnnie Mae Rouse. Shirley received her education at Eastern High School in Baltimore, Maryland. While attending school, she worked a part-time job at Curly's. In her early twenties, she became employed at Western Electric. Over the years, she worked at Roland park Place Nursing Home. Shirley loved helping and working with people. She also loved to cook for her family and friends. That made her very happy. Shirley made numerous friends wherever she went. Her home was always open to play cards and eat a good home cooked meal. One thing for sure you would never go hungry around Shirley. She was a true friend and devoted mother. All who knew her knows she wasn't afraid to speak her mind. She leaves to cherish her precious memories: two daughters, Tenia Rouse Leon Benbow, and Kahi Fraser Edward Williams; three granddaughters, Brittany Rouse, Majailia Rouse, and Makalia Rouse; one grandson, Levon "Buddha" Carrington; four sisters, Katie Clover Maycock, Audrey Green, Delephine Cliffton Carter, and Janet Rouse; four brothers, William Janet Mclntyre, James Gail Rouse, Christopher Carolyn Rouse, and Walter Rouse; a loving and devoted friend, Louis Knox; a life long friend, Vanessa, and a host of relatives and friends.
