IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Shirley L.
White
January 24, 1938 – October 14, 2018
Shirley Lavinia White, the daughter of the late Samuel
and Elsie Brown, was born on Monday, January 24, 1938.
She was called home for eternal rest on Sunday,
October 14, 2018, after a lengthy illness.
She received her education at Carver Vocational Technical High School
in Baltimore. She was employed at Carr-Lowery Glass Co. for 30 years.
Shirley Brown entered into holy matrimony with Lawrence White, Sr.,
on January 29, 1955. This marriage was blessed with the birth of six
devoted children. Later Shirley and Lawrence divorced.
Shirley was a family person; her life revolved around her children,
grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved spending time
with her family on different occasions, especially during holidays.
Her home was always filled with family, friends and lots of
love and laughter.
She enjoyed going to church on Sundays and was an active member
of the John Wesley United Methodist Church. Shirley was genuinely
loved and will be sincerely missed. Her memory will be forever etched
in our hearts.
She leaves to cherish loving memories of her: six children, Deborah
Bond(Tyrone), Annette, Barbara Reid (David), Sharon White-Keys
(Tony), Lawrence (lovingly called Larry) and Stephanie White
(Reginald); Jerry McGee, whom she loved as a son; and
Valerie A. Turner, who lovingly cared for her during her time
of illness. She also leaves seven grandchildren (one preceded her in death);
ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-
grandchild; one sister, Elsie Code (Charles); one brother, Joseph Brown;
one sister-in-law, Anne Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews and other
relatives and friends.
