Sonja Kishar Stewart was born to Dollye Lockett and Eugene Stewart on April 18, 1976. On May 25, 2026, after having fought the good fight against illness, God extended his arms to Sonja and called her home to rest in His Kingdom.
Sonja was known for her strength, love, and dedication to her family. She carried herself with grace and touched the lives of many through her kindness, warmth, and unwavering support for those she loved.Sonja was a proud graduate of Forest Park High School in Baltimore, Maryland. Driven by her passion for helping others, she continued her education in the medical field earning certifications as a CNA/GNA, CMT, and PCT.
Her love for children also inspired her to pursue her studies in Child Care Development with the dream of one day opening her own daycare.
Throughout her career, Sonja dedicated herself to caring for others with compassion, patience, and professionalism. She found great joy and fulfillment in her work at PACE of West Baltimore , where she built meaningful relationships and made a lasting impact on the lives of those she served. Her commitment to caring for others reflected the kindness and generosity that defined her life.
Although Sonja’s earthly journey has ended, her legacy of love will live on through stories of moments shared, and the love that remains forever in the hearts of those blessed to have known her.
While family and friends mourn her passing, they also celebrate the beautiful life she lived and enduring memories she left behind.
Blessed to have known her love, her husband Brandon Lambe; her children; Tierra Mackel-Stewart, J’von Mackel Jr., and Lauren Turner; her beloved grandchildren, Lily Price and J’von Mackel 3rd; her only sibling, Kyese Stewart, with whom she shared a lifelong bond of love and happiness; her eldest niece, Kyeshia Stewart; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.
