Sonya fell into her eternal sleep on March 9,2018 after a declining
illness. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland on April 10, 1966 to
Catherine Gibson (mother) and John Gibson Sf. (father) who preceded
her in death.

She graduated from Lake Clifton Senior High School. Later she was
employed with East Baltimore Medical Center. She became a member
of First Apostolic Church.

Sonya was a kind daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend. She
loved the outdoors, being sociable, wherever she went she would make
friends. You could count on her to show up and she had no problem
expressing how she felt.

Sonya is survived by: her mother, Catherine Gibson; brothers,
Reginald Gibson, John Gibson Jr., brothers-in-law, Samuel Oliver
and Cedric Allen Sr.; sisters, Deirdes Gibson, Deborah Oliver,
Brenda Allen, Phyllis Gibson-Kelly and Tamisha Forbes; sister-in-law,
Jennifer Gibson and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
