IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Spencer L.
Grimes
September 22, 1990 – May 29, 2019
Spencer Lee Grimes, was born on September 22, 1990. He was the beloved
son of Pamela and Kenneth Grimes Sf. Spencer accepted the Lord at an
early age after he joined New Trinity Church under the leadership of the
late Pastor Maggie L. Norton .
. He received his education in the Baltimore City Public School system
where he graduated. After high school, Spencer entered the workforce
where he held multiple positions as a skilled fork lift operator and his last
position with the U.S. Post Office.
An avid music lover, Spencer grew up listening to Gospel, R&B, Jazz and
Hip Hop. He loved music so much that he taught himself how to play piano
at a young age. A self-professed movie critic, Spencer enjoyed all types of
movies including anime and sci-fi. He would not hesitate to debate you on
any movie, TV show, or artist for that matter.
Known as Spence or Spinny to many of his friends, Spencer was known for
cracking jokes, being argumentative, passionate, and a fun, loving, and
loyal friend to those he loved. You would often find him hanging out with
friends, family, and his favorite wine, Moscato. Spencer knew how to make
you smile and his energy and charm would light up a room. It was no
denying his presence once you were in it.
One thing he loved above all others, was his mother, Pamela Grimes aka
Penny. If you asked him, Spencer would tell you that his mother loved and
supported him no matter where he was in life. Through good times and bad,
good choices and some not so good, Spencer knew that his mother's love
would never change. She would always be there to encourage him, love
him, and advise him.
Spencer was called home by God on May 29,2019. He leaves to mourn,
his mother Penny, his father Kenneth Grimes, Sr., one sister Kenita Wil-
liams, 3 brothers Anthony Williams, Kenneth Grimes Jr., Travis Blake, a
sister-in-law Lorebeth Blake, his grandmother Hannah Julius, 1 niece Cyan
Blake, 1 nephew Azrel Blake, Uncles, Aunts, a host of cousins and a very
close friend Matthew. All loved him dearly.
