Sterling Sylvester coleman, son of the late Sylvia Oliver, was born on January 31, 1941 in baltimore, Maryland. He suddenly departed this life on June 24, 2008. He received his education in the Baltimore public schools. Over the Sterling worked various jobs such as Murray's Steakhouse, continental Can Co., Social Security Administration and Baltimore City. He drove buses, trucks and operated heavy equipment. After his retirement he was employed with the Senior Aide Program for Baltimore City until his death. He was baptized at Christian Memorial church where he served as an usher for a number of years. On June 14, 1961, Sterling married the late Loretta Coleman, and out of this union three children were born, Sterling Jr., Carlile and Ortigo. His oldest son, Sterling Jr., preceded him in death. Sterling enjoyed watching wrestling and old movies on television, cooking, listening to music from the 50's and 60's and by all means getting togather with old friends. He was a likeable, kind-hearted person who would do anything for anybody. He made numerous friends wherever he went and will be sincerely missed by everyone who knew him. He was best known for his saying, "Case Closed, church out." He leaves to cherish his memory; two sons, Carlile Coleman and Ortigo Coleman; twelve grandchildren; two sisters, Gloria Davis and Joan Wilson; a brother-in-law, Roland Davis Sr.; a sister-in-law, Pauline Brogden; and a host of niecess, nephews, other relatives and friends.
