Sterling Antonio Jones Sr . was born on December 16th, 1968, at University Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. He is the son of Barbara Jones. He departed this life suddenly on Tuesday morning, December 02, 2025. Sterling received his education in Baltimore City Public Schools. Sterling was a protector of the ones he loved, which explains the Security Role he held at many locations. Sterling furthered his knowledge and skills thereafter to be certified in Computer Technologies, where he earned many IT Certifications landing careers at Quest Diagnostic and Labcorp.

Sterling enjoyed traveling, especially to his family hometown in North Carolina to get his cousin Judy's cooking. He also loved fishing, bowling, and spending time with the family. As much as they raised his blood pressure every game, he loved them Ravens! He loved calling everyone on the phone to have special talks. Sterling enjoyed his long talks and laughs with his work brother and sister, Reggie and Gina. They were very special and dear to him. They would talk for hours. As much as she fussed and stressed every nerve in his body (lol), he loved, appreciated, and cherished his lovely wife, Anna, of 32 years with every inch of his soul. Although he was a man of little emotions and expressions, he made sure he told her and their kids how much he appreciated and loved her.

Sterling is preceded in death by his brother, Willie Jordan; father-in-law, Arthur Williams (Carolyn); three brothers-in-law, Arthur and Khan Willams, Michael Jones; one grandson, Donnell Brockington Jr., and special cousin, Junior. Sterling leaves to cherish his memories; his wife, Anastasia Williams Jones; his mother, Barbara Jones Burgess; stepfather, Melvin Burgess; one brother, Stanhope Jones; adopted brother, Darrell Spruill; five brothers-in-law, Toshio, Tak, Hideo, Terry, and Charlie; three sister-in-law, Bridgette, Patricia (Danny), Patrice (Nelson); seven children, Lil' Sterling, Miriah, Jamia, Asia, Steven, Donnell, and Achia; one uncle, John Jones; eleven grandchildren, Donya, Donnae, Shydae', Dontrae, Ma'Ryah, Donte, Gabriel, Bre'Airah, Zion, Sterling III, and Kiyoshi; three great-grandchildren, Damari, Karson, Ka'Cyn; one godson, Eric Jr.; three Special cousins, Calvin Jones, Terrell Jones, and Andre Jones; his best friend who's like a brother, Eric; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
