Steven Robert Hawkes ', son of Maggie Lowery, was born on
August 14, 1956. He departed this life on Thursday, June 1,
2017.

He received his education in the Baltimore City Public and
Parochial Schools. Steve accepted Christ in his life at an early
age.

He was affectionately known as "Stevie" and "Stevie Blow".
He loved to dance, play music, play cards and cook. He
always enjoyed coming together with his family and Burnie's
family to play cards, to have some good cooking and some
good fun. We all looked forward to Steve's famous spaghetti
and pepper steak and rice.

Steve was employed at Lionel Kiddie City; he worked as a
security guard at Sinai Hospital; he managed a law office in
downtown Baltimore and he worked as a disc jockey In
various night clubs around Baltimore City.

He leaves to mourn: his mother, Maggie Lowery; his sweet-
heart and love of his life for 26 years, Burnelle Williams; his
sons, Shaun and Steven; predeceased by his daughter Erica
and sister Amy; five grandchildren; one brother, Michael
(Jeanette); five sisters, Linda, Margaret, Rosemary, Melverna,
and Lisa; he also leaves to mourn a host of other relatives and
friends.
