Obituary

Steven Melvin Spicer, was born June 15, 1935 to the
late John and Sadie Spicer in Baltimore, Maryland.
Mr. Steven departed this life after a long time illness.

Mr. Steve received his education in the Baltimore City
School System.

Throughout his life he was employed by the City of
Baltimore. His employment included, Babe Ruth Birth Place
Museum for many years, Baltimore City Sanitation Depart-
ment, and the Baltimore Highway Department until he re-
tired.

Mr. Steve, as we all called him, was a man who loved his
family and was devoted to his wife and children.

He loved to play cards, especially solitaire, watching
westerns, old movies, and sports. Mr. Steve loved to play
pool, Oh Boy! you couldn't tell him he wasn't one of the best.
Mr. Steve also spent a lot of his time with his grandchildren.
There wasn't nothing he wouldn't do for them. Mr. Steve
spent most of his time at work and at home reading his daily
newspaper. He didn't miss a day without his paper.

Preceded him in death were three sons, George Spicer,
Frederick and Dennis Queen; one granddaughter, Chanika
Davis; two brothers, Joseph Brooks and Victory Spicer; five
sisters, Barbara Love, Bertha Hill, Margurite Mealy, Selena
Anthony and Faye Cooper; two cousins, Kathleen Henson
and Jean Ann Henson; two sisters-in-law, Willia Mae Lowery
and Lizzie Carolina.

Steven leaves to cherish his memories: wife, Irene Spicer; five
daughters, Edith, Barbara, Denise, Delores and Deborah;
two sons-in-law, Lydell Perry and Randolph Quick; one
brother, Purnell Spicer; one sister-in-law, Mary Spicer; two
Sisters, Priscilla Mickens and Calitha Crawford; twelve
grandchildren and a special great granddaughter, Shakiara Eldridge;
two special friends, Cliff Church and Otis Quick and a host of
nieces, nephews and friends.
