On March 2, 2009 our Savior Jesus sent a flock of angels to escort the soul of our beloved mother, susie Ann cross, home. Susie Ann Cross, daughter of the late Fred and Susie Blake, was born May 28, 1932 in Onancock, Virginia. Susie completed her early education in Virginia, and she late moved to Baltimore and graduated from Dunbar Senior High School in 1950. She married the late Waverly Skintight Cross in 1952; from this union seven children were born. Later, she received her license in Cosmetology in 1970. Susie worked at Silvers Bakery, Sparrows Piont Country Club, The Children's Garden and Mount Washington Pediatric Hospital. Susie was a woman of many talents; her passion was in her cooking. It was always known that you could get a good hot meal from Ann's house. However, she was most admired for her giving nature and kind heart. She leaves to cherish her memory seven children, Beverly Purdie, Gregory Cross, Darlene Boykins, Larry, Paulette, Paul and Bernadette Cross, sister, Ethel Thompson; and nineteen grandchilddren, Waverly Bethea and Donya Bethea, India Williams, Gregory Cross, Shawn, Antione, Sandria, Alexis and Sammie Boykins Jr., Lavonda, Larry, Sharita, Sharonda, and Sharay Cross, Juwan Ricks, Ebony and Paul Cross Jr., Shantay Richardson, and Antionella Perkins; fourteen great-grandchildren; two sons-in-law, David Purdie and Sammie Boykins; two daughters-in-law, Beryl and Annette Cross; a sister friend, Lottie Wilson and a host of other relatives and friends.
