Sylvia B. Drummond, daughter of the late Thomas and Lubefta Bennett, was born on July 22, 1938 in baltimore, Maryland. She departed this life suddenly on November23, 2008. She received her education at Carver Vocational Technical High School. After high school she married the late Spencer Drummond. Out of this union three children were born, the late Ronald Sr., Sharon and the late Cynthia. While raising her children, Sylvia spent several years in the dry cleaning industry. In 1973, she began working at Johns Hopkins Hospital, in Environmental Services. During her tenure at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Sylvia raised two grandchildren, Ronald and Monique. After thirty years of service, she retired from Johns Hopkins Hospital. During retirement Sylvia enjoyed spending time with her family, shopping, and leisure activies. As their nest began to empty, Sylvia and Sharon opened their home to three foster children, Mailayla, Shamar and Jazia. Sylvia made numerous friends wherever she went and will be sincerely missed by everyone who knew her. She was always a true friend and devoted family woman. She leaves to mourn; daughter Sharon Wallace; two brothers Thomas and Clifton Bennett; sister, Roberta Harrison; daughter-in-law, Francine Drummond; four grandchildren; Ronald Jr,. Monique, Kimberly and Kenneth; their spouses, Yvonne, Andre, Eric, and Danielle; seven great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews; three foster children her special "Z"; and a host of other relatives and friends.
