SYLVIA A. EDWARDS, daughter of the late Ferney and Virginia Dennis was born on December 3, 1951 in High Point, North Carolina. She peacefully departed this life on the morning of Saturday, July 25,2015. Sylvia and her family moved from North Carolina when she was young. She attended Baltimore City Public Schools. Upon completion from Mergenthaler Vocational Technical High School, Sylvia attended Baltimore City Community College. She received an Associates Degree in Nursing and completed her Boards to become the Registered Nurse we know today. Her early nursing experiences consisted of working in various nursing homes. She was proud of being a University of Maryland Hospital-Cancer Nurse. Upon transitioning her skills and employment from the hospital, Sylvia desired to open a staffing agency. Supportive Lifeline, Incorporated was born out of her desire to utilize the company as a vehicle to "Win Souls for Christ" while providing and managing quality patient care. As a result, the company expound by providing services from teaching, staffing, case management and consultation. Sylvia was active in the community from active member of the Foster Care Review Board, the Baltimore Club of the National Black Professional Women and the Baltimore City Chamber of Commerce. Upon the end of her journey, Sylvia'S desire was focused on her Love of the residents and staff of Arden Courts of Pikesville. She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Grant Edwards; one aunt, Shirley Smith (John); three brothers, Ferney Dennis, Sr. (Robin), Kelvin Dennis (Frances), Nelson Dennis, Sr.; one sister, Mary Jones (Larry); one daughter, Dorothy Edwards-Adeleke (Adeniyi); special son, Felix Ogala; six grandchildren, Ngozi and Chukwuemeka, Ade, Gbemi, Phummie and DeJi Adeleke; three nieces, LaToshia and LaCreshea Dennis, Crystal Jones; six nephews, Nelson Dennis, Jr., Ferney, Jr. and Van Dennis, Christopher Jones, Haki and Hezekiah Dennis and a host of great nieces, nephews, family and friends.
