Tamara
Davis
October 16, 1961 – June 24, 2019
Tamara Yvette Davis was born on October 16, 1961 to the late Lewis T. Davis
and Ruth Davis. She was the youngest of eight children. She suddenly departed
this life on June 24, 2019.
Tamara received her education in Baltimore City Public Schools. Later in life she
showed interest in doing hair and nails, so she attended Ron Thomas Cosmetol-
ogy School where she perfected her craft. She worked various jobs throughout
her life including construction, receptionist and a bar maid; jobs where she
worked with the public because she loved interacting with people. She also had
a passion for writing poetry. Tamara was a very talented women.
Affectionately known as Tammy, she was adored by people everywhere she
went; she had a special gift for making friends feel like family. Family was
important to her and she had distinctive bonds with everyone. She proudly talked
about her daughters and grandsons to friends and strangers, or anyone that would
listen. Tammy had a special gift for making people smile and laugh. She was very
outspoken and loved a good time. Always the life of the party, you could find her
on the dance floor at any event showing others how to do the latest line dances.
Her smile was infectious and she was happiest when she was spending time with
her family.
Four siblings proceed Tamara in death: Sandra (Davis) Johnson; Orrin Davis,
MaryAnn Davis and Brenda L. Corbett.
Tamara leaves to cherish her memory: three daughters, Shanna Armstead, Tiffa-
ny Armstead, and Jessica Woodhouse; four grandsons, Taaon Floyd, Jordon
Woodhouse, Blake Armstead and Jace White; one sister, Dianne Baker; three
brothers, Earl Davis, Wayne Davis, and Anthony Davis; three sisters in law,
Stacey Davis (Orrin), Sandra Davis (Wayne); one brother in law, Theodore
McLaughlin, a special niece Shelly and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins,
relatives and friends with whom she shared a special bond.
