IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Tameshia
Robeson
March 28, 1990 – January 30, 2021
Tameshia Alia Robeson was born on March 28th, 1990, on Andrew's Air Force Base. She was the only child born to Tamira D. Robeson and Percy Ellison Jr. She was baptized at The Church of Jesus Christ in Washington, DC.
In her early years Meme/Meshia, as she was affectionately called, was the sweetest baby, with the biggest smile. Her love for donuts always warmed the room as she could not pass a Dunkin' Donuts without yelling "no nuts" because she couldn't say donuts.
Tameshia received her early education from Thomas G. Pullen, Performing Arts School. She would later attend Suitland High School, Crossland High School, Glen Burnie High School and finished at Old Mill Senior High, graduating a year early in 2007. She continued her education at Bowie State University and received her bachelor's degree in Social Work in 2011. Tameshia worked many jobs but she enjoyed working with the intellectually disabled population most. She became a supervisor at Opportunity Builders Inc., and was so happy. She switched career paths and became an employee at her Alma Mater, Old Mill Senior High School. She was a true leader and friend who enjoyed helping others.
Her love continued to grow when she reached her lifelong dream to become a mother; to Truth, in 2014. Nothing brought Tameshia more joy than being a mother, and she was an amazing mother. She then welcomed Basil in 2019.
Tameshia enjoyed music, concerts, dancing (tap, ballet, and hip hop since the age of 5) and theatre. She loved dressing like her mom, laughing, and reviewing movies, but there was nothing she loved more than eating crabs and seafood (she learned at the age of 4.)
On Saturday, January 30th, 2021, Tameshia entered into eternal rest. She leaves to cherish her memories: Her mother, Tamira D. Robeson and father, Percy Ellison Jr; her daughter, Truth Amor Robeson and son, Basil True Ogunnaike; her brothers, Tijon Robeson and Percy Ellison, III; her sister, Sophia Ellison; her grandmother, Jean Ellison and her grandfather Percy Ellison, Sr.; god parents, Taunya Monroe and Mark Chester and a host of aunts, uncles cousins and friends.
