Our beloved Towanda Joette Doggett was born April 16, 1967 in Baltimore, Maryland; to
the parents of Mr. Robert Forest Clark and Mrs. Shirley Doggett (Brayboy). She received
a call from God and suddenly departed this life on April 9, 2016. Towanda (affectionately
called, Joette, Jo or Jo Jo) spent her earlier childhood years in New York City, afterwards
her family relocated back to Baltimore, Maryland. She completed her education at Freder-
ick Douglas High School #181.
Her grandmother taught her at a young age; to love others, communicate your thoughts,
embrace joyful moments and to be a God fearing woman. Jo Jo blossomed from a child
filled with a high quality of combined characteristics; that formed into a distinctive
woman. She was very articulate and used her voice of freedom on every opportunity given.
Exploring many different trades; housing authority officer, data entry and inventory
inspector, Jo Jo fonder passion was children. In that passion she gained an insight of ways
to be a greater support mechanism to others.
Towanda had overcome many of life's challenges. She posed a loving and compassionate
heart. Always eager to embrace, cheer and showcase her families proud moments. She'd
offer support and explained her truths to all of listening. Any family member or friend
would easily become entertained by her conversational topics and comments; words of
encouragement and heartfelt advice given through laughter.
Towanda was appreciative by small measures in life and will truly be missed by all whom
had the opportunity of being apart of this treasure.
