Te'Quara
Jones
Aug 14, 1997 — Jul 16, 2026
Baltimore
Te'Quara Olivia Cashmere Jones, lovingly known as “Tika,” was born on August 14, 1997, in Baltimore, Maryland. She peacefully departed this life on July 16, 2026, surrounded by love.
Tika was born with Rett Syndrome, a rare genetic neurological disorder that progressively affected her physical abilities. She attended the William S. Baer School from the age of three until she was twenty years old, where she touched the lives of classmates, teachers, and caregivers alike.
Throughout her life, Tika endured numerous surgeries, hospitalization, and unimaginable pain. Yet, despite every challenge she faced, she rarely let her smile fade. Her strength, resilience, and gentle spirit spoke louder than the obstacles she endured.
Tika found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved listening to music, sleeping and "fussing" with her sisters-a pastime that often brought laughter to those around her. Tika was loved by everyone fortunate enough to cross her path. Though her time with us was far too short, the love she shared and the lives she touched will remain forever in our hearts. She will be deeply missed, forever loved and never forgotten.
Tika leaves to cherish her memory; her mother, Triana Jones (Te'Von); her father Daryl Venable; her sisters, Daija Jones, Jaida Jones, and Assata Venable; her grandmother, Antoinette Farley (Arnold; her grandfather, Glenn Jones Sr. (Sonia); her great-grandmother, Mary Anna Jones; her aunt, Chera Venable; her uncles, Manchil Farley Sr. (Tianda) and Glenn Jones Jr.; her nephew, Josiah Jones and nieces, Genesis and Willow Jones; her RN that has been with her since 8yrs old, Tamika Jeter; and a host of other family members and friends. Tika was preceded in death by her great-grandmother Saludia Rouse; grandmother, Theresita "Linda" Ratliff (Charles), and uncle Andre Venable.
