Mrs. Tessie James, age 89 passed away peacefully on Monday, April 29,

2019 at Future Care in Baltimore, Maryland. She was born in Ervington,

Virginia on May 17, 1929 to the late Omelia Ward.

She attended grade school in Ervington, Virginia. She moved to Balti-

more in January of 1950. She married the late Junior Robinson in her

younger years, from that union they had three daughters, Joyce Single-

ton, Patricia Drummond and Bernice Robinson all of Baltimore, Mary-

land.

She loved to work, play cards, spending quality time with family and

most of all cooking. Her first job was at George's Coffee Den were she

held a cooking position for years. She left George's Coffee Den and

started working at Reid's Drug Store as a cashier and waitress for years.

She finally retired from G&G Bar & Restaurant due to health conditions.

She leaves to mourn: three daughters, Joyce Singleton, Patricia Drum-

mond and Bernice Robinson all of Baltimore; one sister, Esther Martin

of Ervington, Virginia; three grandsons, Anthony, Craig and Michael;

two grandson,s preceded her in death, Timothy (also like a son) and

Corey; three great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other

relatives and friends.
