Obituary

A Time To Be Born Tevln Donation Powell Sr., affectionately known as "FATS" waa the second of five child ran bom to Thornton and Lear Powell. He entered this life on November 3, I960 In Baltimore Maryland. A Time To Die After a lengthy Illness, he transitioned from this life to eternity on Tuesday, January 29, 2013. Ha took his final Journey from the labors of the world to the reality of the mansions promised. A Time To Learn Tevln received Ms education In the Baltimore City Public School System. Ha attended William M. Alexander Elementary School, Booker T. Washington Junior High School, and Fredrick Douglass Senior High School. He graduated with honors In June 1978. A Time To Work Tevln sold Afro newspapers as young man. His first Job was a pipe layer with Angelos Nlckelson and Sons. Shortly thereafter he enlisted In the U.S Armed Services. In November of 1978, ha graduated from the United Sl.ul.aa Training Canter Field Artillery In Fort Sill, Oklahoma. After serving In Germany, ha was honorably discharged. Tevln was employed as a Porter at the Mllford Manor Nursing Home. After his Journey from Mllford Manor, he became supervisor of the housekeeping at the BWT Marriott Hotel. He later attended Catonsvllla Community College where he studied fiber optics. A Time To Love In 1977, Tevln met the love of his life, Felicia Allen. On November 3, 1982, the two married and from this union, the Lord blessed them with five wonderful children; Tevln Jr., Tin I lea, Travis, Traevls, and Tlerra. In 2011 Tevln Joined Macedonia Baptist Church and accepted Christ as his Lord and savior. A Time To Laugh To know Tevln was to love Tevln. He was admired by most for being handsome and well- dressed. FATS was always ready with his humorous Jokes and entertaining quotes to brighten your day. FATS and "FACE" as ha would Jokingly called his sister Tangee, would laugh so hard until they cried. Ha enjoyed taking pictures and had no problem enhancing his picture collection. He loved his parents dearly. He had a bond with his mother no one could break apart. Ha was very close to his siblings. A Time To Enjoy Tevln was a member of the Baltimore Police Boys Club Marching Band. Ha enjoyed playing various Instruments from drums to horns. He enjoyed reading newspapers, listening to music, singing oldies, watching his favorite scary movies and el leering on his favorite football team "THE RAVENS!" Tevln made his own version of Keyshla Cole's song "Sent From Heaven" to "Sent From Tevln". On holidays and birthdays, FATS would embrace his presents with cards and balloons. Most of the time when you saw Tevln, he would have his grand kids, "his sidekicks". In his eyes, they were everything. He loved being a father and grandfather. In addition, he witnessed the historical election of our first African American President Barack Obama. A Time To Mourn Ha leaves to celebrate his life, mourn his passing, and look forward to his i asm i action, his loving and devoted parents, Thornton and Lear Powell; a loving wife, Felicia Powell; tin aa sons, Tevln Jr., Travis, and Traevls Powell; two daughters, tJnlka and Tlerra Powell; six grandchildren, Tyanna, Teron, Tre'von, Tanlya, Tl'Jae, and Tyllear; two brothers, Thornton, Jr., and Timothy Powell; five sisters, Tammle and Tangee Powell, Kim Pollard, Dantta Russo, and Stella Holllngsworth; tinea uncles, Welburn Uncle Duck, Henry, Jr., and Ronald; eight aunts, Christine, Valerie, Catherine, Jane Ann, Lucy Lee, LI I a Mae, AIbertha and Rose; six nieces, Tanoganle, TIshaea, Taler, Tanaja, Blyae, and Anaja; five nephews, Terrell, Terra nee, Rodney, Nltloe, Sataya; five special cousins, Cathy, Garrett, Annette, Damon, and Darren; devoted friends, David Cuffle, Julian Williams, and Latla Sparkman Shawen, Son, and an extensive host of relatives, great nephews, great nieces, cousins, and friends. Tevln was preceded In death by his grandparents, Henry and Mary Powell; James and Bertha Lee Stewart; uncles, Jimmy Stewart and Chester Powell; aunts, Catherine Jane, and Barbara Ann Powell, and Dolores Steward; and one nephew, Jeffrey Marrow, Jr.
