THELMA MARIE COOPER LAWSON was born December 16, 1917 in Baltimore, Maryland to Gladys Sedgwick-Matthews and Edgewood Cooper. She departed this life on Monday November 18, 2013 in Glen Burnie, Maryland. Growing up, Thelma attended Baltimore Public Schools and later graduated from Douglass High School in 1936 and soon after married the late Homer Lawson. Thelma worked at Crownsville State Hospital of Annapolis, Maryland where she retired. She enjoyed attending family gatherings and social events.
