Obituary

Thelma Elizabeth Brown, daughter of the late Eppie and Hazel Maith was born on June 10, 1938 in Baltimore, Maryland. She died peacefully on Saturday, June 13, 2015 after a lengthy illness. She received her education in the Baltimore City Public School System. Thelma was a member of the Eastern Star Masonry. Thelma was married to Ulysses Samuel Brown Sr. deceased. After marriage she spent most of her life raising her children and grand daughter, India Brown. Thelma loved to travel, whether flying to the beautiful islands, or taking that drive to the casino in Atlantic City with her friends; or the summer trips to Fort Lauderdale with her grand kids, she was always ready to make the trip. She enjoyed reading a good book, searching the buried treasures of the flee markets and of course loved country music and her favorite hip hop artist, Nelly. Her door was always open to anyone who needed a room, a meal, or advice. She made numerous friends wherever she went, and will be sincerely missed by everyone. To cherish her memory, she leaves to mourn: daughters, Karen Thomp- son and Lillian Renee Brown; sons, Ulysses, Brown Jr., Christopher Brown, Allen Brown and Larry Brown; sister, Rosalie Maith and brother, Lawrence Maith; nine grandchildren, and five great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
