THEODORE THOMAS was a devoted son, husband, father and grandfather. He transitioned this earthly life on May 17, 2026.

Theodore was born to Stephen and Gertrude Chandler Thomas on July 24, 1958 in Baltimore, Maryland. He was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System starting at Grove Park Elementary School and graduating from Baltimore City College in 1976.

He dated his high school sweetheart, Mary Wells, and they married shortly after graduation. From that union one son, Rico Sr., was born. 

Theodore joined the United States Army and served a tour of duty. After leaving the military, he had numerous jobs until he found his calling with Saint Joseph Health System as a housekeeping supervisor.

Theodore loved watching sports, traveling, going to the casinos and having debates with friends. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. He enjoyed hanging with his son, grandson and second sons Dante Brown and Paul Matthews. 

He was preceded in death by his loving wife Mary Wells Thomas, parents Stephen and Gertrude Thomas, brothers Ray Thomas and Michael (MG) Gaffney, and sisters Barbara Savage and Helen Thomas.

Theodore leaves to cherish his memory: his son, Rico Sr. (Shannon Morgan) and grandson Rico Jr., Baltimore, MD; second sons, Dante Brown and Paul Matthews; sisters ,Phyllis McKoy, Columbia, MD, Irine Vaughan, Portsmouth, VA, and Betty Morton, Baltimore, MD; brother, Edwin Thomas, Baltimore MD; sister-in-law, Renee Wells; two brothers-in-law, Jacob Wells and Marvin Wells (Rhoda) all of Baltimore, MD; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
