Theresa Mae Floyd-Gray, daughter of the late James and Josephine Smallwoodwas born on April 10, 1937 in Baltimore, Maryland. She departed this life, peacefully, on February 21, 2020, after a lengthy illness.
Great Spirit has called homeone ofhiseldersto be amongst the ancestors.
Theresa was a loving, nurturing, devoted wife and mother. She was raised with the morals and values of the importance of family.
After receiving herGED,she began her career as an employee for the Stateof Maryland. She was a Toll Collector for The Department of Transportation and retired as an Administrative Assistant for The Department of Health and MentalHygiene.
Earlier in her life she was an Eastern Star, and a member of a Social Clubin the Motorcycle Community.
She could use those bright, beautiful hazel, green/blue eyes, that smile and charisma to charm ihe very best. She was called and respected by many as"Momma."
Theresawas very in tuned and a strong believer in her faith and spirituality. She studied with a Shaman earning her recognition for accomplishments. She became an ordained minister, Leader of her family(5generations strong), Leader of her clan, and ultimately Medicine Women of the Nation.
She was a certified Massage Therapist, Reiki Master, and Healer. She performed hands of healing and spiritual counseling most of her life. She wasvery wise, resilient, powerful, kind hearted, but firm. Just an all around beautiful soul.
Theresa was proceeded in departure by her parents, James and JosephineSmallwood; 3-sisters, Fenitrice Pierce, Willie Mae Hagans and Louist Everett.
She leaves to carry on her legacy and cherish her memory: Grafton Gray (husband), Theresa "Many Feathers" Smith (daughter), Stephanie "Dream Weaver" Campbell (granddaughter), Michael "Brave Heart" Smith,Jr.(grandson); 2 sisters Elouise Swinson and Cecelia Ghee, and brother Frank Everett,Jr.:3 great granddaughters, Markia "Whispering Frog" Green-White, Chanika "Little Pony" Brown, Tatyana "Storm" Diaz; 4 great-great grandchildren, Ayden "Geronimo" Green-Adams, Kamren "Dancing Wolf"Williams,Kurtis "Thunder Wolf"Williams and Fate "Wild Coyote"Hill,and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
