Thomas Nix Sr. son of the late Walter and Mattie Nixon was born on July 21, 1938 in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life on Sunday, December 20, 2009 after a lenghty illness. He received his education in the Baltimore City Public School System. At an early age he accepted Christ into his life. Thomas as affectionately known as Tommie. He was employed by St. Joe's Paper Company for over 50 years until his retiremnet. He married the former Bertha Wilson. From this union six children were born, Andre, Romaine, Valerie, Thomas Jr. who preceded him in death Donna and Danita. One grandson Quran Goodman preceded him in death. Tommie loved his family especially his grandchildren. He would watch them and walk them to catch the bus for school. He loved to listen to music and play cards. He leaves to cherish his memories; a devoted wife Bertha Nixon, one son Andre, eight daughters, Romaine, Valerie, Donna, Danita, Tonya, Andrea, India and Thomasina. Twenty grandchildren, Eleven great-grandchildren, Two son-in-laws Nathaniel & Eric, Three sisters, Hattie Williams, Genevieve Moore and Shirley Bethune, Three sisters-in-law Ida Gross, Vashhti Flyod and Lenora wilson, two brothers-in-law Walter and Wilson and a host of relatives and friends.
