Obituary

THOMAS DARNELL "DONNELL" WHITE, son of the late Pearlie Mae
Small and Thomas Carl White was born on May 21, 1960 in Baltimore,
Maryland. He departed this life on December 30,2016.

Donnell began his early education in Baltimore, MD, and later moved to
Winnsboro, South Carolina where he graduated from Winnsboro High School.
After graduation he continued his education at the John C. Smith University in
Charlotte, North Carolina earning a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
Technology. During college breaks and after graduation, he worked as a sales
associate at Johnson's Grocery and as a Nursing Assistant at the Fairfield
Memorial Hospital. He was a member of the United Lodge #401 PHA
Winnsboro, South Carolina.

Upon returning to Baltimore, Donnell worked as a contract worker with several
agencies specializing in the area of Computer Technology. He worked for the
Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services as an
Administrative Assistant. For several years he also worked as an Information
Security Data Analyst at the Johns Hopkins University. Of all the many jobs
Donnell held, the one he loved most was as caregiver for his family members in
need. He would often sit for hours, beaming with pride, as he recounted the
many generations of nieces, nephews and cousins he diapered, helped with
homework, counseled, and disciplined.

Donnell enjoyed traveling and going back to school to keep his knowledge up to
date. He was a carefree and spiritual person who lived life to the fullest without
the burden of judging others. He loved his family and friends with all his heart.

Donnell leaves to mourn sisters: Cynthia W. Braxton-Finch (Anthony) of
Baltimore, Thomasine Brittingham (Wayne) of Kissimme, Florida, Charlene and
Sheila White of Atlanta, Georgia; brothers: Frank Drigging (Joanne) of Denton.
Maryland, James Robert Small (Sally) of Winnsboro, South Carolina, Nathaniel
White of Glen Burnie, Maryland; brother-in-law, Willie Mack Johnson of
Winnsboro, South Carolina; sister-in-laws: Cynthia Davis, Azalee, Linda, and
Judy Small. Favorite cousins: Eddie and Alphonso Lawson and Willie James and
William Henry Mickle, and special close friends: Iris Diggs, PeDrick Davis,
Mary Gaither, John Godfrey, Curtis Hibbler, Jamsie Jenkins, Albert Palmer,
Arnold Palmer, Jay C. Speller, Caroline Wiggins and god sister, Marlene Harris.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Small Johnson and brothers, Blease
(Jake), David, and Ezell (Lawrence) Small, niece Wendy Small, and a host of
other loving relatives and friends.
