IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Timothy Terry
Whitfield
January 17, 1962 – September 13, 2025
Mr. Timothy. Terry Whitfield, son of the late Lazzer and Bernice L. Whitfield, was born on January 17, 1962 in Baltimore, Maryland. He was the 4th of 6 children. Our Heavenly Father wrapped his loving arms around Timothy and called his angel home suddenly on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at the age of 63 years old.
Terry as he was affectionately called by his family and friends was sur- rounded by his brothers and 2 loving parents in his early years. As a child, he was into cars and clothes, among many other hobbies and joys that brought a smile to his face. He attended Baltimore City Public Schools.
Terry was a sharp dresser, had a passion for music, cooking and his fish tank were some of his great qualities. He was truly lovable, smart and funny person. Terry held many jobs in his life, but his most tenured position that he held was a machine operator at the Grinding Company of Baltimore from 1998 until August 2024. At that point his health dramatically declined facing a long battle with kidney cancer. In 2009 until 2015, Terry married his first wife Mary Bowser, unfortunately she preceded him in death.
Terry's most memorable past time was his enormous collection of moves and DVD's which he loved to watch in his spare time. His favorite was episodes of HBO's The Wire.
Bursting on the dating scene, Terry was blessed to find his true love and on December 12, 2019, Terry married his wife of 6 years, Mrs. Barbara Jean Carter-Whitfield. She was devoted until the time of Terry's passing. He was preceded in death by his father Lazzer Whitfield, his mother Bernice L. Whitfield, and two brothers Marvin and Larry.
Terry leaves to cherish his legacy: his beloved wife Mrs. Barbara J. Whitfield; twin daughters Shantel Whitfield and Shannon Whitfield-Gamble (Steven Gamble, Jr.); two grandchildren: Skyla and Keyon; 2 stepsons: Darryl and James; 3 brothers: Glen Whitfield, Gregory Whitfield (Carleta) of Baltimore, Maryland and Dezmond Whitfield, Sr. (Chinia) of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. One aunt: Carlene Carroll; Nieces: Missy, Wanda, Tanika, Kaiyonna, Aniya and Samone; Nephews: Larry, Demetrius, Rashad, Laban, Kasseem, Devin, Bryant, Gregory, Jr. and Dezmond, Jr; Long time family friend Colleen Chester; A sister from another mother Vanessa N. Forman; A host of great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friend; 3 sisters in law: Patricia, Esther, and Charlene; special friends: Donald, Mark, Remo, Genevit, Linda, Donnell, and Rosalyn; the crew from the 1800 block of West Saratoga Street.
