Obituary

Todd Rufus, son of the late Alexander Rufus Sr. and Margie Rufus, entered this I1fe in Baltimore, Maryland, On November 22, 1963. "Ty", as he was affectionately known was full of love, laughter and fun. Ty received his education at Baltimore City Public Schools where he graduated from Northwestern High School and continued on to the Baltimore City Community College. 'I'y had a number of jobs, but his most enjoyable employment was his job at The Children's Hospital for many years. As a young man growing up, Ty loved to dress, after work; he would come check in with his mother and run back out to the mall to get himself an outfit or two, to prepare for his weekend outing, needless to say, he was just that very snazzy. Ty was a gentle spirit with gifted hands. Ty worked in his spare time fixing cars and managing lawns for neighbors. He was precise about everything; it was not right unless he said it was. He took great pride in what he put his hands to fix. Ty had a bond with his one and only brother, Alex known as "Pookie" that was inseparable. His mother, niece and great-niece were his joys. He loved family and enjoyed just sharing in family functions. Family togetherness was the highlight of his life and he embraced it. Ty was loved by many for his generosity and spirit of helpfulness. No matter what, Ty was always giving of himself to help you in whatever you needed. Ty was everything to everyone; he made friends no matter where he was. He would never stay in one place too long because whenever someone called on him, he would always be there. Ty had a smile that was contagious, as soon as you called his name he would look at you with a big smile that could light up the universe. So there be: God in His infinite wisdom, called Ty from labor to reward. He was dearly loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed. He leaves to cherish many fond memories: mother, Margie Rufus of Baltimore; brother, Alexander Rufus Jr. (Gloria) of Baltimore; niece, Sierra Rufus (Vernice of Georgia); great niece, Xia; brothers-in-love, Lamont and Stevie of Baltimore; nine aunts, Ruby of New Jersey, Emma, Daisy, Evelyn (all of South Caroli- na), Retha Mae (Melvin Fulwood) of Gary, Indiana; Fannie, Dolly, Christine (Robert Ray) and Elizabeth Rufus all of Baltimore: very special friend, Cheryl and a host of relatives, friends and extended family.
