Mr. Tommie Richard McClendon, entered into eternal rest on July 2, 2015. He was born November 30, 1947, to the late Charlie and Odell McClendon in Washington, Georgia. He is survived by, his devoted and loving wife 1vey McClendon. He received is education from Wilkes County Public Schools where he graduated from Washington-Wilkes High School in 1967. Thereafter, he settled in Baltimore, MD where he began a new life for himself. Tommie was a hard worker and provider for his family. He was employed in the Masonry industry for over 40 years with companies Baltimore Masonry and George Moehle Masonry. He enjoyed fishing, partying, telling jokes, sitting under the shade tree, and spending time with his family and friends. He was known for his jokes, sarcasm, stern facial expressions and his ability to entertain strangers. He was truly "One of a Kind". He leaves to cherish his loving memories to his wife, Ivey McClendon; two daughters, Jacqueline McClendon (Carlin) and Tamika Tyson (Deshane) of Baltimore, MD; two sons, Corey Banks (Lakeeda) of Dover, DE and Earl Fowlkes Jr. (Sonya) of Newport News, VA; seven grandchildren, Keyontae, Kiya, Brianna, Jaylin, Coseana, Pheonix and Phantom; one brother, Mr. Robert McClendon of Washington, GA; one aunt, Ms. Lola Davis and one uncle, Samuel McClendon both of Baltimore, MD; a very special friend, Joe "T" McDowell and a host of other relatives and friends.
