Obituary

Tracey Elizabeth Carrington was born July 19,1993 in Baltimore, Maryland
to Alisa Brice and Charles Carrington, Sr .. She departed this life suddenly
on September 6, 2018 to a senseless act of violence.

Tracey was educated in Baltimore County Public Schools, receiving her
diploma from Dundalk High School in 2011. While attending Dundalk,
Tracey pushed herself academically and held many honorable mentions on
the athletic side as well. While Tracey played football at a younger age, her
love and passion was basketball. She played basketball her entire four
years while attending Dundalk. She was eventually inducted into the
Dundalk Hall of Fame.

Tracey's basketball career did not end there. She went on to continue her
basketball career playing under an athletic scholarship for the Morgan State
Bears. During her time spent playing basketball for the Bears, Tracey
earned many accolades from Morgan earning her Bachelors degree. She
became a captain during her sophomore year, became 'Top 20' in National
Scoring, and more. Her basketball career exceeded even college, allowing
her the opportunity to have a chance to play professionally both in
Switzerland and Australia. When Tracey returned from her time playing
overseas, her immediate goal was giving back to the community and other
young athletes. She began her career by substitute teaching in the
classroom working with elementary, middle, and high school students.

Her service to other though, did not stop there. In 2016,'Tracey accepted an
assistant coaching position at Owings Mills High School, coaching a girls'
varsity basketball team, whom she loved like her own! Tracey was also a
natural as a motivational speaker. She connected to anyone she met or
talked to. Her family, her Grammie, and her mother were extremely proud
of all that she was working towards and had accomplished already.

Although only spending twenty-five years with us on this Earth, Tracey sure
leaves behind a legacy. She connected with many people during her time
here with us, as she had the ability to touch others, without even trying. She
would always share. Praying was Tracey's favorite thing to do, she prayed
at every holiday dinner. She gave life to others who came in her presence
and she had a special spirit about her that we will never forget.
