IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Tresha Nicolette
Forbes
December 29, 1988 – June 20, 2025
Tresha Nicolette Forbes, affectionately known as Trish, was born on December 29, 1988, in Miami, Florida. She departed this world far too soon on June 20, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering dedication to her family and friends.
Tresha was a proud graduate of Carver High School, where she discovered her passion for the culinary arts - a passion she carried with her throughout her life. She attended culinary school and poured her heart into her craft, becoming a master at feeding not just stomachs but souls. She was truly a jack of all trades and found her work family at the Engineers Club, where she was known for her tireless work ethic and her signature touch - "The Trish Special" - a menu highlight named in her honor for her dedication and talent. Whether catering weddings for 200 or 300 guests or showing up on her day off to ensure every detail was perfect, Tresha did it with pride and grace. She was a woman of adventure and fine things, traveling the East Coast, the West Coast, and the islands.
Even in her final days, she dreamed of Mexico, ready for her next journey. Tresha loved music, comedy movies, and was a true Marvelfan at heart - an Avengers girlie through and through. She loved her crabs so much it seemed she might just turn into one herself! Raw oysters, pepper shrimp, mangos, and apples (never pears!) were among her favorites. She found peace and escaped anywhere near water, anywhere that she could relax and get back to herself.
Tresha fiercely loved her family and her community. She was sensitive to injustice, and the struggles of the world and did her part to give back, always sending her daughter to school with extra snacks to share - a small act of random kindness from her big, giving heart. To know Tresha was to love her- her laughter, her fierce spirit, her kindness, and her loyalty touched everyone she met. She will be remembered for the love she poured into her family, her work, her friends, and her dreams.
Tresha's memory will belovingly cherished by her mother, Deborah Wellington; father, Conroy Forbes; and paternal grandmother, Beverley Whittingham.
Her children, Trevell Aleesha. Siblings: Tanisha, Shereka, Tasheena, Latesha, Mickesha, Conroy (Micki), Malik, Deshanna (Destiny), and Amir. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews, including Errol, Dondre, Rowan, Jaylen, Teona, Ny'Jai, Jatwan, Tylar, King, Legend, Lariah, Jasai, Aria, and Ayse, and many more family and friends who loved her deeply.
As we gather to honor her memory, we take comfort in the words of Romans 12:15: "Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.
