Obituary

TWAIN JEMETRE ROBINSON, also known as Meckey to family was born on March 10, 1976 in Darlington, South Carolina to Carolyn Robinson and Thomas Byrd, departed this life on March 3, 2013. Twain moved to Maryland in 1986 with his mother and sister. Twain received his education in the Baltimore City and County School System. After graduating from Catonsville High School, Twain went into the United States Army Reserves, then on to attend college at Morgan State University where he met many friends and sang on the choir. Singing was just one of Twain's talents. Twain loved to sing all the time. He started singing on the church choir at New Pilgrim Baptist Church at a young age and that's where he accepted God in his life. Throughout Twain's life he started doing hair. He worked magic with his hands, doing hair for fifteen years. His goal was to one day open his own hair salon. Twain also loved to travel. He definitely lived his life; a care-free life. Between dividing his time with work, his mom, sister and nephew, he also was a devoted member of the House of Miyake Mugler for quite some time. Those of you who knew Twain, knew that he was a good man, role model, and a protector. If you didn't know, Twain started on a journey, a journey to change his life and live his life through God. Twain leaves behind: his mother, Carolyn Robinson, which whom he was very close with; his sister, Antricka Byrd, with whom he shared a special bond. Those two would do anything in the world for each other. His nephew, Donta Robinson Jr., which he called Moonie. Moonie was the son that he never had. A father, Thomas Byrd, which lives in Connecticut; three close friends that he considered sisters, Nikkie Dowtin, Tanika Falchetti and Tamara Boyd; one goddaughter, Samantha Lewis; five aunts, Lillie Mae Taylor, Sarah Mae Cabbagestalk, Delia Robinson, Mary Bailey all of South Carolina and Charlena Fowler of Albany, New York; two uncles, Leroy O'Neal JoeAnn and Elijah Robinson of South Carolina. Twain now joins his grandmother, Lizzie Robinson that he loved dearly; and two close friends, Randy Warren and Keon "Shorty" Trent; and a host of other relatives and plenty of friends. Twain will continue to live in the hearts and minds of everyone that loved and knew him. Twain's journey is now complete!
