Twyla Denise Puckett, daughter of Louise Whityten and the late Reginal Howard, and stepdaughter to the late Joseph Whitten, was born on October 16, 1959 in Baltimore, Maryland. On May 18, 2010, God call His beloved daughter home. She received her education at Paul Laurence Dunbar High School. She received an Associates Degree in Business Administration from Sojourner-Douglas College. She was employed by Defense Contract Management Agency as a procurement technician. She was a member of Amazing Grace Lutheran Church. After many, many years of friendship, she married her best friends, Walter G. Puckett, Jr. in 1999. She was an exceptional mother to her four children, Kimberly, Charles, Harriet, and Milinda. Her greatest joy was spending time with ten grandchildren. She also loved traveling, shopping, cooking But mostly spending time with "Greg" as she effectingly called her husband. She was a devoted wife and mother and a true blessing to us all. She leaves to cherish her memory; her mother, Louise Whitten, mother-in-law, Betty Puckett; her husband, Walter Puckett; her children, Kimberly Howard, Charles Harris, Harriet Dashield and Milinda Raynor; son-in-law, Earl Dashield; ten grandchildren, Dawauntay, Tysheria, Brittany, Jordyn, Laycee, Kendria, Destiny, Kimberly, Earl Jr., and Kallen; two brothers, Roland Cornish Sr.and Reeginald Howard Jr.; two sisters, Theresa Howard and Latonya Whitten. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Dawnda Morris and Sonya Howard, niece, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
