IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Tyrone
Ross
July 5, 1957 – February 26, 2020
Tyrone Ross was born to the late Willie M. Ross and Lillian A. Jones Ross on July
5, 1957. He departed this world to join his wife, Veronica E. Ross, in eternal bliss
on February 26, 2020.
Tyrone was affectionately known as Poppa to his Grandchildren, Uncle Bubba to
his nieces and nephews, and Ty to his friends and other family members.
Tyrone was born, raised and educated in the Dorchester County School system; he
graduated from High school in 1975. Shortly after graduating from high school
Tyrone Joined the U.S. Army and served his country for four years from November
1975 to November 1979.
While visiting his older brother Eugene and his family, in Baltimore he met and
fell in love with his wife Veronica E. Ross. They were married in December 1980
(or should I say renewed their vows in front of family and friends) they were
married for 38 years; until she departed this world in November 2016.
Tyrone and Veronica moved to Tacoma, Washington in 1987; to start a new life
on the west coast where they raised their daughter Renee Curry. They lived in
Washington for 26 years before they longed to be home; returning to Baltimore
MD in June 2013.
While living in Washington Tyrone was employed with Pierce Transit for 18 years
as a bus driver. He was also an active member of Amalgamated Transit Union
where he held many titles including VP of the A.T.U. local 758.
Tyrone loved Fishing and crabbing but, most of all cooking and baking; he adored
Barbequing and would strike up the grill at any moment no matter what the
temperature was outside. To know him was to love him, he was a very funny
person to himself; you did not always get the joke. He was only stern because he
cared, and he wanted everyone to do better and to be better. He will be greatly
missed!
Tyrone was preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, Veronica Ross, his father-
in-law and mother -in- law Harvey Blanchard and Mary E. Blanchard and two
brothers Eugene Fooks and Allen Fooks.
Tyrone leaves to cherish his memory, two daughters Tyvonnia Braxton, Renee
Curry, one son -in - law Staff Sergeant William Bungard, three granddaughters
Nevaeh Curry, Amarra Bungard, and Elise Bungard, three brothers Arthur Jones,
James Fooks, and Edward Fooks (Hillary). Also, he leaves a host of Nieces,
Nephews, Cousins, and other relatives and many friends. The Family would like
to give a Special Thanks to Ms. Georgetta Thomas.
