Ulersee Odoms, daughter of the late Maggie and Jim Mcduffee was born on December 7, 1926 in Maxton, north Carolina. God called her home on May 12, 2009. married to the late Alexander Odom, Sister Odoms was a hard working woman even in her "Cotton Picking" days. she also worked at a stadium and then went to working in a sweing factory, Edmondson Hotel, Baltimore Hotel and then of course she did a lot work in the church, which she loved so much. Decacon, Reverend Sister Odoms, was a child of God and the only thing that she loved the most besides her family is the church. You could always find her in the church at any time of day, and she wasn't afraid to let you know to get right with God. she always had a scripture or a song of joy to let you know how good God is. Sister odoms loved her pastor, shantel oliver Louellen with all her herat, she was willing to get out and help raise money for the church by selling pies, cookies, cakes, and anything that God bought to her heart. She was a member of Lurine Gilies, where her pastor became Shantel Oliver Louellen of Emmmanuel temple, and has been for 21 years. Her church members loved her dearly. Sister Odoms loved her family with all her heart. To the faily she was known as "Mama". Mama was always the backbone of the family and she was the one who wasn't afraid to get you straight when youwere in the wrong, but did it with love. She rasied a lot of her grandchildren and you better believe they were all brought up in the church. If you were with Mama, you were in church! Mama might not have had all the answers to your problems, but she always had a good word of prayer. Mama, you will truly be missed! She Leaves to cherish her memories: two son; Haywood and Henry Odoms, two sisters; Isabell Carmicheal, and Mary Mcfall, two brothers; Troy and Artis Mcduffee; four daughter-in-laws, Kidy, Mary, Lillian and corinda proceeded her in death; grandchildren, James, Kimberly, Calvin, Derrick, Woody and Shaqantay; great-great grandchildren, Dimond, Kaeron, Mayan and Tyjaee; one God child Bryant; 5 nieces, and 5 nephews, two best friends that loved her dearly, Sister Vivian Watts, and Ida. and a host of other relatives and friends.
