Ulysses J. McFadden, son of the late Isabel McFadden and Ulysses McFadden Sr. was born on January 20, 1946 in New York. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Reginald, and Emanuel. Leaving behind loved ones, he departed life on the morning of May 31,2015 after a long battle with cancer. He was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System. At Southern High School, Ulysses was a star on the basketball team and was voted as Citywide All Around Player of the Year. He was drafted into the United States Army where he served for two years (1966-1967) and participated on the u.s. Army Basketball team. Upon returning home, Ulysses sought employment in the Mass Transit Administration (MTA) where he became an operator for the bus, subway and light rail, respectively. He retired in March of2010 with 42 years of service. Being the kind-hearted and social person he was, Ulysses was loved by so many. Depending on the type of relationship, he was affection- ately known as Skeeter, Mac, Uly and Macadoo. He participated in pool tournaments at Kirk Street Division during his years as a bus operator and was very skilled at playing pool. In younger years, he loved driving motorcycles with coworkers and friends. He also en- joyedfishing and spending time with his friends of over 40 years. He was well known to cut up and make people laugh. He will be truly missed by family and friends but his spirit will never be forgotten. He leaves to mourn: four children, Yolanda McFadden, Yardley McFadden (Teresa Hawkins) Ashley Banks Akaragwe (Solomon Akaragwe), and Tybria McFadden; a very special and dedicated goddaughter, Tracy Byrd; two siblings, Renee McFadden, Delarselle Barskdale;five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; a nephew, Reginald Miller "Kipp"; a niece Amber Hill-Dixon; Aunts, Bernice William (Melvin), Patricia Mellerson; devoted cousin, Angela Jack- son- Wheatley; longtime friends, Vera E. Smith, Rickie Graham, Ronald Smith, James Johnson, Cornelius Waters, Dennis Thomas, Artis Holt, Donald Mercer; and a host of other family andfriends. Viewing Joseph H. Brown Jr. Funeral Home
