Valerie G. Staley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Geraldine Perry and the late Freddie Bennett, was born on May 15, 1967 in Baltimore, Maryland. She departed this life on September 2, 2014 after a lengthy illness. She received her education in the Baltimore Public School System. When her illness came upon her she was attending Catonsville Community College. She also at- tended Baltimore City Community College for one year. She was lovingly called "Meese" in her younger days. Also she loved her children dearly. She always wished she could've done more for them. She made friends easily. Once she was your friend, it was for life. She couldn't say "No" to anyone, who needed food, or a place to stay or whatever the need be. She worked at various jobs in her adult life in Baltimore City until she decided she wanted to be in college. A loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, will be sorely missed by her family and friends. She leaves to mourn: her parents, Donald and Geraldine Perry; her children, Domenic Staley, Charles Jones and Lakeisha Jones; grandchildren, Dashawn I. Jones, David Campbell, Jr., Tyler Atkins-Bey, Kamari Fields and Mack- ayla Jones all of Baltimore City; three sisters, Sharon Gagum of Loris, SC, Shala and Skylar Perry of Baltimore City; five brothers, James Gagum of Mt. Pleasant, S'C, Donnell of Brooklyn, NY, Shawn, Malik, and Kevin Perry of Baltimore City; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and friends.
