Vanessa Denise Barney, daughter of Ruth Barney and the late Donald Barney was born on February 19, 1959 in Baltimore, Maryland. Vanessa departed this life on Friday, April 10, 2015 after a lengthy illness. Vanessa received her education in the Baltimore City School System. She graduated from Lake Clifton High School in 1977. After high school she gained employment with Baltimore City Public Schools as the cafeteria manager and was a loyal employee until she became ill and had to retire from a job she loved like a second home. Vanessa made numerous friends wherever she went and will be sincerely missed by everyone. Vanessa was a very loving mother, daughter, grandmother, aunt and sister. She was caring and had a very good heart, she loved laughing, shopping, cooking and being around her family. She leaves to cherish her memory and love: her mother, Ruth Barney; her son, David Anthony Webb Jr.; two sisters, Donna P. Barney and Adorn C. Barney; two brothers, Mark D. Barney and Glen D. Barney; her other siblings, Michael, Elaine, Jacqueline, Lamont, Tyra and Lenell who preceded her in death; her step-mother, Sarah Barney; her stepfather, Bernard Corprew; a devoted aunt, Marlene Payne and aunt, Joyce Wheatley. She also leaves to remember her love, a loving daughter-in-law, Tiffany Nicole Webb; two sisters-in-law, Roberta (Mark) and Lashon (Glen); a special nephew, Kyle B. Freeman; three granddaughters, Daja Keona Brodie, Dilynn AAliyah and Leighton Nicole Webb; a brother-in-law, Martin Hinkson; a devoted friend, Jay; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
