VENIA LEE CARTER was born August 30, 1946 in Baltimore Maryland, daughter of the late James Hamilton and Elizabeth Coley. Venia departed this life on February 23, 2014 after a lengthy illness. Venia attended Baltimore city public schools and graduated from Dunbar High School. At a young age she gave her life to Christ and attended several Baptist churches with her Mom. Venia sought employment with Montgomery Ward, Sweet heart Cup Company, International Truck and Engine Corporation, and later at Beverage Capital as a fork lift operator until retiring. Venia had two sisters Janie Pitts, Joyce Ann Conley, two brothers Leo and James Hamilton who also proceeded her in death. Venia later met the late Robert Reeves from that union they had their princess Shalena Reeves Jeffries. One of Velia's little angel's grandson Christian Jeffries also proceeded her death. Venie also known as foxy by her friends and family enjoyed cooking ,cook outs, knitting and enjoyed riding motor cycles with friends ,she also loved listening and downloading music .Venia enjoyed talking on the phone and visits with her grandchildren. Venia was a hard worker and was always there for her family and friends. Venie leaves to cherish her memories One daughter Shalena Jeffries, Six grandchildren Venia, Breyia, Xavier, Rheyarma, Makayla and Messiar Jeffries. Three brothers Charles Hamilton, Paul Hamilton, and Edward Coley, Five sisters Bernice Threatt, Lena Porter, Mary Rupert, Sharon Coley, Wilma Hamiltion .One son-in-law Donte Jeffries, two sisters-in laws Eloise Hamiltion, Delores Hamiltion and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
