was born October 1, 1987 in Baltimore City to
Donna Taylor and Derrick Layton. She was the eldest of her siblings, Tavon,
Kevin, Doneisha and Tionna Taylor.
Vernessa, throughout her years, attended church. As an adult she received
Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and enjoyed reading the Bible.
Vernessa was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System. Upon
graduating from Frederick Douglas High School, she was certified in medical
assistance, phlebotomy and massage therapy.
Nessie as she was affectionately called enjoyed spending time with her
daughter Camille, her sisters and brothers. She loved to listen to music,
cook and do hair. Nessie was a dependable and a pleasant person who
brought a smile to everyone she knew and met.
Vernessa leaves to cherish fond memories: her great grandmother Elizabeth
Christian, grandmother, Dorothy Taylor, her mother Donna Taylor, her father
Derrick Layton, one daughter Camille Taylor, two sisters, Doneisha, and
Tionna Taylor, two brothers, Tavon and Kevin Taylor, her godmother
Patricia Christian, her godfather Delroy Christian, two in-laws Ashley and
Chemise Taylor, her favorite aunt Vernessa Miller, her special friend Jasmine
Hawkins, her best friend Kay Kay, five great uncles, six great aunts,
and a host of other relatives.
