Deaconess Vernice Elizabeth Cash ,first gift from God to Reather Pearl Logan and Joseph M. Bolden, Sr. was born on June 10, 1945 in Dillwyn, VA. She was educated in both Virginia and Baltimore Public Schools. She later earned degrees in Early Childhood Development and was a licensed Cosmetol- ogist. Due to health issues, she chose to retire from both professions. She was joined in holy matrimony to William J. Cash - they were a match made in Heaven. They were married for 39 'l2 years when "Cash" departed this life on January 9, 2001. You never saw one without the other and they were totally devoted to each other. They were a modelfor marriages - young and old. God always first in her life and the basis of her daily activity. She studied the word continuously. She was a good faithful servant who enjoyed missionary work, being a door keeper for the Lord, and the duties of a Deaconess. She loved to listen to Heaven 600. She was affectionately known as "Dottie". Her house was a safe haven for family and friends. She was an excellent cook. She fed you spiritually, emotionally and was known for her delicious fried chicken. She loved to shop and decorate her house for all of the holidays. She loved family and taking family photos.
