Vernon was a family man, married to his wife Addie Lee Williams for more than 60 years.Vernon came to Baltimore with an 8th grade education. While working at BGE he went to night school to receive his GED. He stared as a janitor and retired as a heavy equipment mechanic
Vernon faithfully served Christ as a Deacon nearly50years at NewBaptist Church in Baltimore. He enjoyed fishing, crossword puzzles, solitaire, and Bible trivia. He and his wife lovedto get outon theroad with theirtrailertovisitfamily and friends from Southern Maryland all the way down to Florida.
Vernon is with his wife Addie LeeWilliams,who succeededhimindeath five days afterhis transition.
He is survivedbyhis children Alfrida Williams, Alphonse Williams, Vince Williams and wife Monika, VernonL.Williams, and Vasama Lee Vern Williams; his grandchildren EricaWilliams, Karla Williams, AlphonseWilliams, Jr., Brandon Williams, Danyelle Harshaw, Lynette Smith, Aletha McClain, Leyah King,Jeremiah Williams, and Mary Lee Williams;12additional grandchildren andby23 great-grandchildren, 36 great-great-grandchildrenandmanyother relatives and loved ones. Hewas preceded in deathbyhis sonsVernon Williams, Jr., Elijah Williamsand VictorC.Williams andgranddaughters Pamela WilliamsandAndria Landrum.
