IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Veronica
Clark-Green
October 4, 1953 – May 20, 2019
Veronica Ann Clark was born on October 4, 1953 to the late William Floyd
Sr. and Norma Jean Clark. She was the first daughter and second child of
seven children. Veronica passed away after a brief illness on Monday, May
20,2019, at Harbor Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.
She received her education at St. Peter Catholic School and Baltimore City
Public Schools. Spiritually blessed and academically gifted she obtained
her GED in Alaska where her first husband was stationed in the service at
that time. After returning to Baltimore, MD, she received a Registered
Nurse degree at CCB. She made major strides in the nursing field and
eventually became a Registered Nurse Supervisor at Rosewood State Hos-
pital. Due to illness, she retired two weeks shy of 30 years of service. As a
testament of how well loved Veronica was by her co-workers, they all
pitched in and gave her the additional time to complete her 30 years of
service.
Veronica was a wonderful individual, dedicated, loving, caring and had a
beautiful soul. She truly loved her two children, Mark and Cassandra. She
had a special relationship with her brother, Floyd who lovingly called her
"Sis". Veronica would always see the good in everyone. She would try to
justify their actions whether good or bad. She always wanted to believe
there was good in that person and felt there was always a reason for the bad
behavior.
When Veronica was younger she loved to dance. Throughout her life she
traveled frequently to places like Alaska, Canada, Atlantic City, Las Vegas,
North Carolina, just to name a few of her adventures. Many times she
traveled with her partner in crime, her cousin, Cecelia Blanks, better known
as "Che Che". Another thing she used to love was playing pool at her
favorite spot with her team of pool players.
Veronica was also preceded in death by her five of her younger siblings,
Reginal, Lester Dwayne, Cassandra, Renee, and Gail and her granddaugh-
ter Da'Myra Lawson.
Veronica leaves to cherish her legacy: her son, Mark Jones, Jr., (La'kisha),
daughter, Cassandra Jones; brother, William Floyd Clark, Jr.; ten grandchil-
dren, Markell, Marqise, La' Dejah, La' Shae Makaylah, La' Mar, Marqire
Jones, James Flemmons, Charles Toone, and Steven Green; six great
grandchildren, Tavon Jr., Taliyah, Tayon Motley, Jayla, Jamera Flemmons,
and Ah'Mira King; significant other William Owens, nephew, William
Floyd Clark, III, who is affectionately known as Boo, niece Candis Clark;
four of her dearest friends, Grace Harvey, Rose Givens, Ms. Flo, and Jean
King, and a host of other relatives and friends.
