Veronica L. "Rocky" Thomas, 48, departed this life
on January 24, 2018 with her family nearby at
Gilchrist Hospice Center in Towson, MD.

Veronica was born on May 16, 1969 to Willie
Thomas, Sr. and Ella Thomas (who preceded her in
death) in Baltimore, MD. She was the mother of Shawnetta Craft - Payne.

Rocky got her education in the Baltimore City School system and graduated
from Mergenthaler Vocational Technical High School in 1988 after studying
Business Administration.

Rocky suffered from Rheumatoid Arthritis from the age of 23, but despite her
illness, she was able to work several jobs including cashier and customer
service representative, most recently at Cinemark Theaters.

She re-dedicated her life to Christ on January 18, 2018. She was formerly a
member of Ray of Hope Baptist Church and later attended Mosaic Christian
Church.

Rocky enjoyed going out to eat with her best friend Felicia (Fi) (they called
each other "sister") and hanging out with her Cinemark family who
affectionately referred to her as "Mom", "Aunt" and "Ms V.". She enjoyed
family outings, no matter how near or far. Known as the "Wheelchair Diva",
she liked giving orders and controlling the situation from her wheelchair.

The Roc faced all challenges head on, never letting anything deter her from
accomplishing her goals. She was a bright light and will be sorely missed by
all.

Veronica leaves to treasure her memories her only precious daughter
Shawnetta (her Ladybug), son-in-law Wayne Payne, two granddaughters
Kamera (her Butterfly) and Zori (her Bean), sister Tonia (Mike), brother Willie
"Manny" Thomas, Jr., a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews
and extended family including Felicia and Randolph (Little).
